Traveling Monday Thru Thursday

Category: Google Places (Maps & Local) – Mike Blumenthal – 10:00 am

There will be a full schedule of interesting posts this week. However I will be traveling, speaking and consulting. My ability to respond to comments, questions and feedback will be limited. So feel free to chime in if you get the chance to keep the conversation flowing.

Please consider leaving a comment as your input will help me (& everyone else) better understand and learn about local.

  1. As a matter of fact Mike…

I’ve set up offers (2 weeks ago) and still do not see them on the search results listings either on desktop or Mobile devices. I see your is active and was wondering why? Thanks and have a safe and successful week.

  2. We’re seeing listings that do not require one of Google’s standard categories — five custom categories can be used from the dashboard. Is this because Google is relying on the algo to throw in one of their own categories in addition to the five chosen by the business owner? The “Categories” section of the Guidelines has not changed yet. But this could always be a “Google glitch”… or maybe I’m behind the game.
