Looks like the team was able to get a fix through faster than expected. Most people who were experiencing this error should find that it’s resolved. There may be some people who are still seeing a server error. Those people should file a reinclusion request for their account.

Today, Google’s Maps Guide Jen has announced a short term fix to the recurring system error in the Local Business Center. She notes that Google will provide a fix to anyone reporting the problem in the Group while they work on a longer term repair. If you are experiencing the dreaded System Error report it to Google in this thread and they will take care of it.

I know this update was a long time coming. The issue is spread throughout the Local Business Center. Because of this, we’re trying to implement a wider-spread fix. In the meantime, we’ll be working to restore access for those who have reported receiving a System Error in this and other threads throughout the group. Thank goodness – I thought I was going to have to once again – make a sacrifice to the Google Gods and I was running out of “volunteers” for this.
I had posted a on the business owners blog – I’ll answer to the thread you have mentioned.

That’s a tough job these days, sacrificial “volunteer” to altar of Google. It leads to early death. disillusionment and dismemberment with little chance of reward in this world or the next.

I know… I had my collection of ” Forever Friends” cuddly teddy bears shivering in their fuzzy shoes.
Thank goodness they’ve been spared. If only I could get my Mod Hair Barbie back…

ehh good work team of @Jen… does this mean it was all part of some sort of preliminary banning of accounts? filing a reinclusion requests sounds a bit awkward to me…
Who is going to tell all the poor SMBs that don’t have a clue on how to respond to this issue?
Most likely they don’t know this blog, don’t know the google maps groups and don’t know the google blogs either.
Maybe possible to put up a link to the help center? even if it is temporary?

I think that’s a great idea. I for one – even having been around this environment for more than a day or two, haven’t a single clue about there ever having been a need for reinclusion. A link to the form would be awfully nifty.
@ Google – Jen – thanks for the hard work at getting the error sorted out!! If you could post a link – many of us such as myself, would be eternally grateful.
