Google Maps missing reviews returned to rightful owners

Category: Google Places (Maps & Local) – Mike Blumenthal – 5:18 pm

There had been recent reports in Google Groups for Maps and elsewhere of review gone missing.

Intrepid Maps Guide Jen reports today that they have been found:

Hi B.J.
The Maps team implemented a fix for your listing (and others that were
similarly losing reviews). You should find that they are now all appearing.
Let us know if you notice anything amiss!
Cheers,
Jen

This bit of news from you made me go back to that post I wrote about the CanoeSport guy in Houston, Texas who lost his 30 reviews. They are still gone…never came back.

As I recall, the only guess we could make at the time was that he’d gotten too many reviews too quickly. I’ve not seen that potential issue come up again anywhere, have you?

I think it’s such a drag that the fellow lost all his reviews.
