Google Maps adds Public Service Personalization

Google is now promoting high quality, user generated public service maps in the main Google Maps interface encouraging users to personalize their MyMap experience with worthwhile projects:

  1. Hmm, that’s really interesting, Mike.

    This could be a very good tool for community activism, particularly if it informs tourists to given areas of issues going on in the community.

    I’ve yet to see this show up, but I’ll be looking for it. Thanks for mentioning it.
