Carter Maslan Leaving Google
Carter Maslan, the longstanding Director of Product Development at Google Maps, has apparently left Google. He had been at Google since March 2007. His LinkedIn page is yet to be updated. A Google spokesperson when asked for confirmation noted:
“We thank Carter for his many contributions to Google and wish him all the best in his future endeavors.”

That is terrible. Carter was one of the few at Google who helped bridge the BRICK WALL that was Google! I fear the worse for Places product development without a man of the people, like Carter Maslan, and only hope that someone like Westgate will take over his important work in image improvement.
