The Misery Bay Dulcimer Club will present an evening with Aubrey  
Atwater & Elwood Donnelly at Asbury Woods Nature Center, 3814 Asbury  
Road, Erie, PA, on Tuesday, March 28th, including a mountain dulcimer  
workshop at 6:30 p.m., concert at 8:00 p.m., followed immediately by  
a reception. The charge for the workshop will be $10 per student. The  
entrance fee for the concert will be $5. Pre-registration is required  
for the workshop.

Aubrey Atwater will present the workshop entitled "Playing the  
Mountain Dulcimer by Ear." Dulcimer players will learn to work out  
melodies, harmonies and simple chords to familiar songs by ear in the  
oral, folk tradition.

Atwater and Donnelly are self-taught musicians from Rhode Island who  
have performed and researched traditional folk music and dance  
extensively in Ireland, England, Prince Edward Island, New England,  
the Ozarks, and Appalachia. They have performed/shared festival  
billing with folk legends Jean Ritchie, Pete Seeger and Doc Watson.  
Their performances blend gorgeous and unusual harmonies and feature  
many folk instruments and some surprises including Appalachian clog  
dancing. Their relaxed stage presence is appealing to all ages,  
featuring humor and audience participation.
