It allows an individual to add the event data to their personal Google calendar and to &#8220;invite friends using the &#8216;Add to calendar&#8217; link that appears alongside the event&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>Google has confirmed that they\u00a0are adding these events to venues &#8220;in a few major cities across the globe, including New York, San Francisco, London, Paris (and others)&#8221; and\u00a0this &#8220;information is based on data from <a href=\"http:\/\/googlewebmastercentral.blogspot.com\/2009\/05\/introducing-rich-snippets.html\">rich snippets markup<\/a>&#8220;.<\/p>\n<p>Wcities and Zevents <a href=\"http:\/\/wcities.com\/new-york\/concerts-pop\/event-tame-impala-2408423.html\">events<\/a> use the RDFa based\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/ogp.me\/\">Open Graph<\/a> data structure. Other events appearing on the National Museum of the American Indian <a href=\"http:\/\/maps.google.com\/maps\/place?hl=en&amp;safe=off&amp;client=safari&amp;ie=UTF8&amp;q=National+Museum+of+the+American+Indian+George+Gustav+Heye+Center+NY+NY&amp;fb=1&amp;gl=us&amp;hq=National+Museum+of+the+American+Indian+George+Gustav+Heye+Center&amp;hnear=New+York,+NY&amp;cid=12841500633054395674&amp;z=14\">Places page<\/a> from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nyc.com\/arts__attractions\/national_museum_of_the_american_indian.70\/section_specific.aspx#content\">NYC.com<\/a> are sructured with the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.google.com\/support\/webmasters\/bin\/answer.py?answer=164506\">event microformat<\/a> (vcard) formatting.
