I&#8217;ll say&#8230;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I had just finished reading this <a href=\"http:\/\/www.informationclearinghouse.info\/article20440.htm\">disturbing speculative piece<\/a> on possible federal legislation referred to as the i-Patriot Act when I bounced over to the NY Times for my cheerful morning read and noticed the photo in\u00c2\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2008\/08\/06\/business\/media\/06adco.html?ref=technology\">this article<\/a> about Google&#8217;s new Insight Tool&#8230;.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/blumenthals.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/08\/nytimes2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-761\" title=\"nytimes2\" src=\"http:\/\/blumenthals.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/08\/nytimes2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"520\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blumenthals.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/08\/nytimes2.jpg 500w, https:\/\/blumenthals.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/08\/nytimes2-288x300.jpg 288w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I had been a little disappointed that Google had not included me in their pre-briefing on the new product. After looking at the photo, I can say that I was relieved that I had not been invited as I am not wont to wear a tie. Although one has to wonder when the head of the FBI and Justice Department started running Google&#8217;s product announcements.
