As of 6:29 pm EST, the <a href=\"http:\/\/blumenthals.com\/blog\/2008\/07\/07\/google-mapspam-time-for-a-formal-solution\/\">Australian Locksmith Mapspam<\/a> in still in place.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Update 7\/10\/08<\/strong>:As of 10:00 EST the <a href=\"http:\/\/blumenthals.com\/blog\/2008\/07\/07\/google-mapspam-time-for-a-formal-solution\/\">Australian Locksmith Mapspam<\/a> has been removed.<\/p>\n<p>In early May, Imamnotadoctor.com reported that there was <a href=\"http:\/\/www.imnotadoctor.com\/2008\/05\/06\/earthlink-spamming-google-local-too\/\">widespread mapspsam from Earthlink<\/a> in Google Maps. Maps Guide Jen noted on his blog that it had been a bulk upload abuse and that the listings had been removed.<\/p>\n<p>They are now back and in large volume.
