It was obvious that the later was using a call tracking number. I was thinking that it must be a Google Voice number but I had no way to confirm.<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/blumenthals.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/10\/local-Listing-Ad.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"local-Listing-Ad\" src=\"http:\/\/blumenthals.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/10\/local-Listing-Ad.jpg\" alt=\"local-Listing-Ad\" width=\"520\" height=\"440\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Well, this afternoon in Google Q3 conference call my question was <a href=\"http:\/\/searchengineland.com\/googles-q3-5-94-billion-7-percent-yoy-growth-27854\">answered<\/a>: <em>All the calls generated via Local Listing Ads \u201cgo through Google Voice\u201d (i.e., call tracking)<\/em>. <\/p>\n<p>I am curious, will the client be able to retain use of the Google Voice phone number after their advertising ceases? Will the SMB be required to set up and configure a Google Voice account or will it just be a Voice number with none of the trappings? Does it have a simplified interface as well and can the SMB &#8220;pick&#8221; their phone number?<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, SVP of product Jonathan Rosenberg spoke at some length about Maps and noted: \u201cEverything is finally in place to enable small businesses to connect with customers online\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>In a related observation, this particular iteration of the Local Listing Ad display, shows the Blue Pin placed next to the ad but it was not showing on the Map.<!--more--><br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/blumenthals.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/10\/local-listing-ad2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/blumenthals.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/10\/local-listing-ad2-449x392.jpg\" alt=\"local-listing-ad2\" title=\"local-listing-ad2\" width=\"520\" height=\"440\"\/><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This morning, I was looking at a screen shot of a dentist that had both Adwords and a Local listing ad.
