{"id":22060,"date":"2019-08-01T09:02:51","date_gmt":"2019-08-01T13:02:51","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blumenthals.com\/blog\/?p=22060"},"modified":"2019-08-01T09:02:55","modified_gmt":"2019-08-01T13:02:55","slug":"google-tweaks-local-scroll-pack-yet-again","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blumenthals.com\/blog\/2019\/08\/01\/google-tweaks-local-scroll-pack-yet-again\/","title":{"rendered":"Google Tweaks Local Scroll Pack Yet Again"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Last week, we saw Google <a href=\"http:\/\/blumenthals.com\/blog\/2019\/07\/23\/google-updates-as-yet-unannounced-scroll-pack-with-stronger-cta\/\">updating<\/a> the as yet not fully rolled out Scroll Pack with stronger and more obvious calls to action for user engagement.<\/p>\n<p>This week I am seeing yet another, subtler, update; Google has added more and more colorful icons for each section of the Scroll Pack result. This is the second UI update since the <a href=\"https:\/\/blumenthals.com\/blog\/2019\/06\/01\/google-showing-new-local-scroll-pak\/\">Local Scroll Pack was first seen in late May<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>While that sounds inconsequential as I write it, on the mobile display it dramatically increases the visibility of the pack and is quite eye catching. With the first rollout, I worried that users would not interact with the local listings as frequently.
