Two that really caught my eye\u00a0were local restaurant results found by <a href=\"https:\/\/alakov.com\">Sergey Alakov<\/a> and the other by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kevin-indig.com\">Kevin Indig<\/a>\u00a0(h\/t Megan Hannay).<\/p>\n<p>These many tests are a testament to Google&#8217;s continual effort to gain audience and more importantly, keep that audience\u00a0at Google long enough to complete a transaction. From Google&#8217;s POV, \u00a0the transaction will hopefully be monetized but if not then one that further leverages Google resources to gather data and user time like a click to call or driving directions.<\/p>\n<p>Google has been <a href=\"http:\/\/blumenthals.com\/blog\/2016\/12\/15\/google-my-business-expanding-wheelchair-accessibility-attributes\/\">actively<\/a> <a href=\"http:\/\/blumenthals.com\/blog\/2016\/12\/02\/google-my-business-rolling-out-attributes-to-single-listings\/\">collecting<\/a> and collating attributes about all sorts of businesses but particularly restaurants. These have largely been buried in the depths of the Knowledge Panel and few clicks away from the front page.<\/p>\n<p>These new <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/sergey_alakov\/status\/864521542167912456\">visual attribute<\/a> representations are front and center and colorful.
