Although in Texas it seems to be referred to as Confederate Heroes\u00a0Day and is celebrated on January 19th.\u00a0Apparently there though it is considered an <a href=\"http:\/\/www.expressnews.com\/news\/local\/article\/Texas-to-observe-Confederate-Heroes-Day-6767626.php\">optional state holiday<\/a>\u00a0\u00a0&#8220;meaning some state employees will come to work while others do not&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>Obviously it is a day with deep and to many, abhorrent symbols\u00a0of our history. And many\u00a0would contend <a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/search?client=safari&amp;rls=en&amp;q=conferderate+memorial+day+controversy&amp;ie=UTF-8&amp;oe=UTF-8#q=confederate+memorial+day+controversy\">unnecessary<\/a>\u00a0and hurtful as we \u00a0already have a Memorial Day to remember all fallen soldiers.<\/p>\n<p>And Google seems to be in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.en.advertisercommunity.com\/t5\/Basics-for-Business-Owners\/quot-Confederate-Memorial-Day-quot-Please-remove\/m-p\/895393#M22812\">middle<\/a> of it. Read this <a href=\"https:\/\/www.en.advertisercommunity.com\/t5\/Basics-for-Business-Owners\/quot-Confederate-Memorial-Day-quot-Please-remove\/m-p\/895393#M22812\">post<\/a> in their forum:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><em>Hi, it seems that every business in Texas, including ours, has a &#8220;Confederate Memorial Day&#8221; holiday within their hours listed on Google. They retain the mislabeling indicating that it is called Confederate Memorial Day.
