{"id":19023,"date":"2016-02-15T12:15:48","date_gmt":"2016-02-15T16:15:48","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blumenthals.com\/blog\/?p=19023"},"modified":"2025-12-03T12:22:44","modified_gmt":"2025-12-03T16:22:44","slug":"google-mybusiness-now-surfacing-web-verify-option-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blumenthals.com\/blog\/2016\/02\/15\/google-mybusiness-now-surfacing-web-verify-option-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Google MyBusiness Now Surfacing Web Verify Option"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>If a local business had a <a href=\"https:\/\/support.google.com\/webmasters\/answer\/34592?hl=en\">website verified<\/a> in the Google Search Console \u00a0prior to verifying in Local, Google would on\u00a0occasion\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/support.google.com\/business\/answer\/2911778?hl=en\">auto verify the local listing<\/a> without the need for a post card or phone call.<\/p>\n<p>Previously this would just happen with no forward facing interface and would often be a surprise to the claimant.<\/p>\n<p>Now, according to this screen shot captured by <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/avinash4dvg?refsrc=email&amp;s=11\">Avinash Murthy<\/a> (@avinash4dvg) it appears that there is now a viable interface choice to allow for instant verification when it is available. \u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/blumenthals.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/img_0561.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/blumenthals.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/img_0561.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>This option has not been readily available to most businesses and even those with a common log-in and a verified Search Console site were not always offered the option.
