Thanks for bringing it to our attention<\/i>.<\/p>\n<p>Last \u00a0year Google <a href=\"http:\/\/blumenthals.com\/blog\/2014\/04\/23\/google-now-displaying-full-review-snippets-in-the-knowledge-panel\/\">added<\/a> review snippets that represent general sentiment to the Knowledge Panel. These snippets are determined by algo and are intended to represent the public&#8217;s attitude about a business . Like all Google algos sooner or later they screw up and in inimitable fashion Google\u00a0is unwilling or unable to fix it.<\/p>\n<p>Dan Petrovic of <a href=\"http:\/\/dejanseo.com.au\">DejanSEO<\/a> in Australia\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/plus.google.com\/111588754935244257268\/posts\/TPNEHzn1d7w\">reported<\/a> a case on G+ yesterday where a positive review of his business was mangled into a negative snippet.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/blumenthals.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/review.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-17711\" src=\"http:\/\/blumenthals.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/review.png\" alt=\"review\" width=\"416\" height=\"305\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blumenthals.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/review.png 416w, https:\/\/blumenthals.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/review-273x200.png 273w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 416px) 100vw, 416px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I, in my best Boy Scout behavior, suggested that he might want to contact the group that dealt with business snippets and see if they would take it down.<\/p>\n<p>Here is\u00a0Dan&#8217;s\u00a0reply from Sylvia B. :<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;<em>Thanks for contacting Google Places for Business support regarding the descriptive terms associated with your business on the local Google+ page for your business. At this time,\u00a0<b>we do not remove terms for reasons such as being unclear or negative<\/b>.
