{"id":16132,"date":"2014-02-10T08:10:00","date_gmt":"2014-02-10T12:10:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blumenthals.com\/blog\/?p=16132"},"modified":"2014-02-10T08:47:14","modified_gmt":"2014-02-10T12:47:14","slug":"knowledge-graph-dropdowns-crowd-sourcing-the-future-on-twitter","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blumenthals.com\/blog\/2014\/02\/10\/knowledge-graph-dropdowns-crowd-sourcing-the-future-on-twitter\/","title":{"rendered":"Knowledge Graph Dropdowns &#038; Crowd Sourcing the Future on Twitter"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On Friday <a href=\"http:\/\/www.winlocal.de\">Sebastien Socha<\/a> alerted me to the fact that Google was now including inline Knowledge Graph Dropdowns in general and local search results.<\/p>\n<p>Besides the fact that it provides mostly irrelevant, distracting. repetitive and non specific Wikipedia type results to very specific queries, I saw it as an annoying addition to local search with little of value for the searcher or the business.<\/p>\n<p>Here is an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/search?client=safari&amp;rls=en&amp;q=pizza+new+yourk+city&amp;ie=UTF-8&amp;oe=UTF-8#q=ikea+burlington+ontario&amp;rls=en\">example<\/a> of the search result.
