Google&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/blumenthals.com\/blog\/2008\/03\/18\/google-maps-everyone-can-create-a-business-listing\/\">community edit feature<\/a> is allowing the &#8220;community&#8221; (aka disgruntled consumers) to speak out in ways that were not anticipated when the feature was released.<\/p>\n<p>I was browsing Maps when I found this record for Apple Computer today. <a href=\"http:\/\/blumenthals.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/10\/unclaimed-brands.gif\">Here<\/a> is how it looked a mere week ago. I swear it was not me.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/blumenthals.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/11\/apple.jpg\" alt=\"Apple customer complaint\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Given Google&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/blumenthals.com\/blog\/2008\/11\/03\/google-responds-to-microsoft-hijacking\/\">commitment to a wiki style<\/a> of open community Maps environment, we can expect to see more of these.
