For most of these listings the <a href=\"http:\/\/blumenthals.com\/blog\/2011\/07\/25\/google-places-work-around-we-do-current-do-not-support-the-location\/\">fix<\/a> of &#8220;poking the listing&#8221; with an edit\/submit in the dashboard did not return the listing to the index. Google posted this note in the forums and attempted to consolidate the many postings into <a href=\"http:\/\/www.google.com\/support\/forum\/p\/Places\/thread?tid=112ad969c07dfd8d&amp;hl=en&amp;start=80\">this post<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/blumenthals.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/02\/Screen-shot-2012-02-16-at-7.18.25-AM.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-12261 alignleft\" title=\"Screen shot 2012-02-16 at 7.18.25 AM\" src=\"http:\/\/blumenthals.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/02\/Screen-shot-2012-02-16-at-7.18.25-AM-520x86.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"465\" height=\"77\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blumenthals.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/02\/Screen-shot-2012-02-16-at-7.18.25-AM-520x86.png 520w, https:\/\/blumenthals.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/02\/Screen-shot-2012-02-16-at-7.18.25-AM-300x50.png 300w, https:\/\/blumenthals.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/02\/Screen-shot-2012-02-16-at-7.18.25-AM.png 546w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 465px) 100vw, 465px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>At 2:41 AM EST <a href=\"http:\/\/www.google.com\/support\/forum\/p\/Places\/user?userid=15340538902018377430&amp;hl=en\">Joel Headley<\/a>, head of Places customer support posted this update noting that Google had fixed the problem:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">Joel_H<br \/>\nGoogle Employee<br \/>\n2:51 AM<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">Best answer &#8211; Joel_H (Google Employee)<br \/>\nWe&#8217;ve just finished making some changes to restore listings. Sorry for the issue and thanks all for your patience.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">Could you check again and let us know if the issue persists?<\/p>\n<p>I think for most listings it is likely that they have returned. A number that I checked had returned but not <a href=\"http:\/\/www.google.com\/support\/forum\/p\/Places\/thread?tid=318f4ea836ebb172&amp;hl=en\">all<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>This is not the only &#8220;quirk&#8221; in Places and the Places Dashboard this week. There have been many and I presume that there were will be more as Google rolls out incremental changes.
