It is not clear exactly how hard these businesses have worked to achieve these high rankings.<\/p>\n<p>With Google Local&#8217;s ability to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.seobythesea.com\/2011\/09\/googles-new-sentiment-phrase-snippets-for-google-places\/\">parse sentiment<\/a>, their ability to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.seobythesea.com\/2011\/08\/google-boost-search-rankings-category\/\">create business categories <\/a>on the fly and their desire <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/To_Serve_Man_(The_Twilight_Zone)\">to serve man<\/a> you often will find local results that you didn&#8217;t quite bargain for. In my research looking for review snippets I was exploring searches in NYC looking for extremes.
