Historically the Crook Farm has featured traditional Bluegrass, Folk   
and American Traditional Music.  This year is no exception with an  
expanded line-up featuring top-notch local and regional talent.  This  
year we will be encouraging all local, traditional musicians to  
participate in the fair around the grounds and at the NEW Jam Tent.

MUSCIANS ENTERING THE FAIR WITH A MUSICAL INSTRUMENT (& THE INTENT TO  
PLAY IT) WILL BE ALLOWED INTO THE FAIR GROUNDS FREE.
JAM TENT RUNS FROM 9AM - 9PM SATURDAY & 9AM-5PM SUNDAY.
IMPROMPTU SESSIONS ENCOURAGED AROUND THE FAIR GROUNDS ALL WEEKEND.

CHURCH STREET BLUES
12-5pm Church Street Blues http://www.churchstreetblues.com/ is back  
for another year.  This acoustic band has fans of many musical styles  
such as bluegrass, gospel, folk, oldies, and rock.  Infused with  
excellent vocal abilities, dynamic song-writing, and impassioned  
instrumentals, Church Street Blues proudly delivers their unique take  
on traditional & contemporary bluegrass, originals, and great  
gospel.  Local musician, Scott Pearson, from Warren, Pa. has won  
numerous instrumental awards on Guitar, Fiddle & Mandolin.

Kate & Andrew Scanlan, Local Irish Step Dance Wizards.  These kids  
will thrill & amaze you!

OLD TIME ROUND & SQUARE DANCE
1:30 - 2:15  Every Tuesday evening Keith Blackmon, a local caller  
leads Old Time Square Dancing at the Bank Building on the Crook  
Farm.  This year Keith will be calling square dances on Saturday (&  
Sunday) afternoon.  The dancing will be at 1:30 - 2:15 on Saturday  
and Sunday.  This is not an exhibition, it is participatory  
traditional Eastern Square Dancing.  No fancy footwork, no lessons  
needed, simple figures.  It's easy and fun for kids of all ages!

CURT OSGOOD & ANNIE SIMPSON IN THE OLD SCHOOL HOUSE.
Curt Osgood, Binghamton, NY http://curtosgood.com/ is a hammered  
dulcimer artist.  Curt has been pleasing audiences with his dulcimer  
artistry for over twenty years, both as a solo and ensemble  
performer. Curt will be returning this year to the Crook Farm and  
will be performing all weekend around the Fair, hosting the Jam Tent  
& performing in the Old Schoolhouse with Annie at specified times  
during the weekend. Check posted schedule on arrival.

JAM TENT will be open all day & Evening on Saturday & all day  
Sunday.  You are invited to bring an instrument & your voice & join  
in playing or singing, or just come to listen.  Music will be  
Bluegrass, Old Time, Folk, Country, etc.  Depending on the musicians  
who arrive.

CIVIL WAR MUSIC with the Bucktail Regiment (Kane, Pa.).  Traditional  
music for the Civil War Re-enactors will be an addition this year.   
Don't miss this educational & entertaining event.

Sunday  -  AUG 27
11am - 12 noon (after the pancake breakfast)
SUNDAY MORNING HARMONY performing Bluegrass Gospel in the music  
tent.  Everyone is invited to sing along with lots of well-known, old  
time, country & bluegrass gospel songs.

THE DOERFEL FAMILY BAND
12-5 pm  Doerfel Family Band http://www.doerfelfamily.com/
This large family (10 kids) is from Springville,NY.  All of the kids  
join mom & dad for the most entertaining and unique Bluegrass Family  
Show to come along in years.  They have performed all over the  
Northeast, and travel to Florida each winter to perform the Southern  
Bluegrass Circuit.  Bring the kids for this show and enjoy an  
afternoon with the Doerfel Family, you will be surprised, amazed and  
delighted!  They recently "brought down the house" at this year's  
HOTA festival.  This is a band on their way to the top!  You can say  
"You saw them when....".

Howard Blumenthal, old time fiddle, mandolin, guitar & vocals will be  
playing with Ed Hanson for the Bucktail Regiment Civil War group, and  
at the jam tent.
Andrew Scanlan (age 10) will be playing fiddle around the fair for  
both days.
Jessi Combs (age 16) will be playing mandolin & guitar with her Mom &  
Dad (Dianna & Larry).  This family band from Limestone has been  
playing traditional country & gospel music in the area & are regulars  
at the Tuesday nite Dance.
Many other musicians will be there, so come on out & enjoy the fun!
