The 26th annual
OLD SONGS FESTIVAL
is only a month away now!
(June 23, 24, 25)
• With PERFORMERS like legendary singer/songwriter Cris Williamson;
Shetland's Heritage Fiddlers; a terrific cross section of Celtic
music with the hot Irish band Téada, the Spanish Celtic sounds of
Llan de Cubel and Irish harp duo William Jackson and Gráinne Hambly;
American folk trailblazers like Peggy Seeger, Alan Jabbour and Joe
Hickerson; Canadian trio Finest Kind; French Canadian combo Matapat,
and much much more (http://www.oldsongs.org/festival/performers.html).
We hope you'll agree that you don't want to miss it.
• SAVE yourself a little cash: Advance ticket prices are available
until Saturday, June 3.
You can purchase online at: http://www.oldsongs.org/festival/
tickets.html
or by mail or phone (518-765-2815)
• DAYTIME SCHEDULE is now posted for your convenience at:

and can also be accessed by performer here:

• Spend some time browsing the festival pages for more info on Friday
CLASSES, the Great Groove Band, camping, volunteering and more.
Speaking of which, VOLUNTEERS are still needed. Call 518-765-2815 to
inquire.
• With much sadness we note the passing of a grand lady of American
folk music, MARGARET MACARTHUR, who was scheduled to appear at the
festival this year, and has appeared many times in the past. To quote
a reviewer: Margaret was "a champion of simpler times and rural
places as well as a collector of heartfelt poems and curious
tales....but whatever their source or subject matter, MacArthur
imbued them with warmth and tunefulness." We will miss her dearly.
