The Dustmen & Ashley MacLeod
With the Woodgate Irish Dancers
Friday, March 17, 8 pm
General Admission $12 ($10 Opera House Members)

Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with this special evening of authentic
Celtic music. The Dustmen – western New York favorites –keep
audiences clapping, stomping their feet and singing along. With a
selection of pub songs and rollicking jigs and reels, The Dustmen are
“more fun than a barrel of Guinness!”

Ashley MacLeod started playing the fiddle at age 10 and has taken
Ontario by storm. A native of the county of Glengarry, a hotbed of
Scottish culture in Canada, Ashley’s music is infused with the spirit
and depth that comes from living in a community steeped and rooted in
its Scottish heritage. The jigs and reels she plays on her fiddle
vibrate with strength and her waltzes and airs are colored with an
aura of peacefulness.

The Woodgate Irish Dancers will join The Dustmen and Ashley McLeod
for this evening of first-rate entertainment with a Celtic flair.

LAKEWOOD, NY
Chautauqua Lake's
Original St. Patrick's Day
Party Is Back!

Get ready! It’s time once again for Chautauqua Lake's Original St.
Patrick's Day Party, at Maplehurst Country Club, 1508 Big Tree Road,
Lakewood, NY. The party, which has been on hiatus for a number of
years, is back! This year’s event will be on Friday, March 17th,
starting at 7 PM. Party goers will be treated to a great Irish Buffet
including salt potatoes, corned beef and cabbage, shepherd's pie,
Irish bangers and more.

The evening’s entertainment will be provided by “Anam Cara,” which
means “Spiritual Friends” in Gaelic. This trio of talented musicians
not only plays traditional Celtic music and Irish favorites, but they
have written original Celtic songs as well. These can be heard on
their CDs. The group’s members all hail from Warren, PA and include
Andrew Pollard, Celtic harpist. Andrew not only plays the harp, he
also plays the penny whistle, guitar, bodhran - the Irish hand-drum -
and adds his vocal talents to the mix. Pat Pollard, also a
guitarist, adds the mandolin and her lovely voice to the sound as
well. And last but not least, Ellen Putnam’s Celtic harp and bodhran
along with her beautiful vocals round out the trio. If you haven’t
had the opportunity to listen to this trio’s music, you must
certainly come hear them at Chautauqua Lake’s Original St. Patrick’s
Day Party!

Also featured will be Ashville‘s own Irish Tenor, Jim Vail. A
local favorite, Jim is a veteran of past St. Pat’s parties at
Maplehurst. One of the best-kept secrets at Maplehurst is Wally
Holmes’ lifelong passion for magic! This does explain to his
golfing buddies that great putt he makes every year! Wally will
suprise the crowd with a guest magician who will perform a little
Irish Magic. An Irish sing-a-long is also planned for the evening.

The party is a Lakewood community event and Open to the Public.
Tickets are available at: Maplehurst Country Club, 1508 Big Tree
Road, Lakewood, NY; Reg Lenna Civic Center, 316 E. Third Street,
Jamestown, NY; Cellular One, Foote Avenue Plaza, Jamestown, NY; and
