Hi Mike,

I just discovered a situation where the old links are still not redirecting:
1) Search for a address in maps.google.com.
2) Look for the “At this address”-section or “Selected businesses at this address”-section
3) Look for a business with at least 1 review (also the 5-stars are still living here )
4) Click on the review link
5) Boom…old cid-style place page

I am a Google Trusted photographer from Surrey, UK. The inside panoramas have been available in the UK for a few weeks now and seems to be more than welcome by most businesses.

There doesn’t seem to be any issues now with using the Google+ Local pages for the businesses with Panos and point of interest photos.

Re: #4, Jade points out the two different types of Google+ Local pages… however fails to mention anything about the upcoming merge. Is this merge still happening? Is it a sure thing? Its been two weeks, any idea when this merge will take place? Still no answers about Google accounts used for Places and those used for Google+ Business Pages re: merging, or about Google Apps for Business accounts and merging… Jade, can you help us out please?

Along the same lines, has anyone found a way to edit the photos on the + Local pages that were converted from places so you can control which one is the profile photo and which order the other photos appear in? I have tried to find how to do this but I’m coming up empty.

No it was just that I felt that the difference between the two pages, while confusing, had been dealt with at length.

I am not sure what you are saying. Mobile pages which were never part of the G+local upgrade redirect correctly.

That certainly works. The one problem with the tactic is that you are likely to lose control of the images. Thus if you want to take them down it becomes a hassle.

TIP: I was able to upload photos to a newly created +local page not via the places dash but via the page directly by visiting it and using my same google acct. photos uploaded instantly where the ones i did via the places dash are yet to appear 2 weeks in now.

Some businesses have old places map in mobile search..don’t think there’s been a complete google+ page redirection..but must be in processes outside US. I searched for dentist london and dentist sydney.

Just wanted to point out that you forgot to finish the sentence in brackets in #4. Can I assume there is a post coming about this soon or is just a Google ball of confusion that’s beyond explanation?
