@Dubrod These "snippet lists" were introduced on 8/26 and have been showing since. They can come from any relevant site that is properly structured, not just Yahoo.

I just spotted Google showing related Yahoo Local Listings instead of related places.

I think it would be a great thing for both Google and the SMB. It means that the SMB doesn’t have to worry about what is on their Place page and Google would as a result get more ad $ from them.

I have no idea whether it will be a move that is made across the board, but it is one that think would remove many of the objections that SMBs have about “their” Place page.

I don’t think this is a bad thing from my perspective. It may allow businesses that have little or no exposure from Place Pages (those that don’t show up on the first page for local/Places results) to live and die a little more by their websites.
