Notice that None of the Japanese (ex:Sony, Sharp) and Korean (LG, Samsung) companies have lawsuits.

I mean that they are not suing anyone (not that they do not have suits against them)

I just noticed something about this graph that is interesting.

Notice that None of the Japanese (ex:Sony, Sharp) and Korean (LG, Samsung) companies have lawsuits.

This is likely a cultural (and business-culture) thing. I don’t know about Korea, but in the case of Japan lawsuits (particularly private lawsuits) are almost non-existant.

I would guess that to be the reason for the difference in this diagram between the Western and Asian companies.

Gee Mike:

With that many lawsuits flying around, you’d think that the attorneys that are busy competing for ambulance chasing phrases such as identified here: http://blumenthals.com/blog/2010/10/06/poll-what-do-you-think-of-this-tag/ would switch over to corporate law and try and pick up some of the big corporate fees.

With these types of interesting blog pieces on the legal profession you might find a second career as a legal headhunter
