I am always suprised at how many of our clients ignore these type of proactive steps to protecting their online reputation. I would like to mention something that I have seen 75% of our clients have forgot to claim, their domain name liek TheirNameHere(dotcom)

So many of my clients do not register their own domain name even weeks or months after a negative post is found. That domain would be a big help to them, or a big hurt if someone else registered it.

Nice post

Yes, this certainly looks like your 2008 prediction coming true, Mike. I really hope the church worker will take the time to learn about the importance of claiming one's listings. It's so ridiculous to think of the extremes to which this could go. The graffiti of a new era.

It is off the cuff but roughly based average of a few samples that I have looked at that ranged from the low you mention to up to 22%.

Mike, is your "15% claimed" estimate kind of an "off-the-cuff" kind of guess? I would have said closer to 5% based on even the results I see in the 10-pack, let alone further down the pecking order in Maps. I would love to know if there is an official study out about that...maybe by Palore?
