    1. Votes cast, and no, I did not rank my own as 5. 🙂

Voting was a bit tough, all the entries were good. I honestly could not narrow down a single “best post”, but several did get high marks from me.

Now that my side is thoroughly hurting, I’ll eagerly await the results of this terrific brownie bait… erm, competition. 😀

    2. Awwww man! 😆

Oh well, I’m full of… um, it. I’m sure I’ll come up with something. After all, in our industry, there are so many opportunities to have a little fun at our own expense.

    3. Wow! Two of my pamphlets made it in the top ten. Thank you! I’m truly excited and couldn’t resist to vote somewhat selfishly (at least I’m honest). By the way, I reread the rules but you didn’t mention standard tools like votebots, sinkbots and such stuff…

    4. Hi Sebastien…

Being naive, I had to look up the meaning of sinkbots . I had never considered the question but am in the process of upgrading my survey software .:)

That being said I suppose that it comes down to your definintion of “People” as this part of the voting is the People’s choice awards.

      Thanks for coming by.

    5. Well Mike, I have to say the concept of our little awards show being up for an award is kind of making my head ‘sphinn’ with all the redundancy. Thanks for the fun and I shall have to poke Jeff with a stick and have him drop by to shower you with more love and apreciation… weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee…..

      Good fun M…. thanks

    6. Awesome Mike … thanks for the recognition. Wow, there are some great posts there. It’ll be a difficult decision should the votes not be decisive enough.

Damn … I knew we should have included a photo of Matt Cutts in his Borat bathing suit. Surely this would have been enough.

Thanks again Mike! Go Sphinn Awards!

    7. Thanks, Mike, I’m touched, honored and so looking forward to decorating my “Google Interiors” piece with the Rubber Chicken Award. I promise to treasure it and possibly transform it into a family heirloom.

    8. I would have loved to be in the running for the Rubber Chicken Award – I think I deserve at least a Golden Carrot for accidently ranking first on Google Web for the ‘most flatulent guy on the planet’.

    9. Cheers Mike,

that’s not such a bad idea actually – I’ll think about it. Btw, your link back to me looks to be broken – just as well since it could really bang the nail in the coffin on my flatulent status, even with the rel nofollow. I may well have condemned myself by drawing attention to this daft accolade.
