The interest from our perspective is to create an authoritative piece that would be great link-bait, not to mention let you charge a premium (for your greater expertise) to any of your hosting clients whom you do marketing for... At the very least this series of articles might have alerted Google to expedite cleaning up the volume of bad data or ability to spam data into G Maps.
